Weaver Underwater Hockey Team (W.U.H.T)
WLCA board members, family, and friends braved icy water, winds that gusted over 20 mph, and windchills that hovered near zero today as they participated in the Polar Bear Plunge held at the Weaver Lake beach to raise money for the Special Olympics of Minnesota. The Weaver Underwater Hockey Team, which claims to "skate on the other side of the ice", included WLCA board members Jack Germanson, John Grafstrom, and Kerry Kosbau; board family members Emma Grafstrom, Megan Kosbau, and Dennis Byrne; and WLCA lake consultant James Johnson.
Congratulations to the team on Freezin' for a Reason! They raised over $1,000 for Special Olympics of Minnesota!
