Weaver Lake Boat Launch

In 2021 the city finished the electric project to bring electricity to the boat launch area. This has provided lake users the ability to use the DNR granted Hydrosweep fan to blow away floating algae, vegetation, and especially AIS from the boat trailer launch area. The Hydrosweep was installed in the spring of 2022.

 We are also still looking for a Boat Launch WLCA Ambassador to help keep AIS out of our lake.  If interested, please email board@wlca.org.

In 2018 with support from Hennepin County a CD3 outpost was installed at the boat launch along with new signage. The WLCA  worked hard to obtain an upgraded CD3 outpost in 2022. Please use the CD3 unit every time you use the boat launch. The CD3 will keep track of each use to help the WLCA get a better understanding of our access usage and if users are taking the proper steps to reduce the spread of AIS on their watercraft.
